Bungie heeft bevestigd dat je in Destiny gewoon in je eentje de gehele game kunt spelen. Zonder enige vorm van multiplayer kun je jouw personage een epische reis aanbieden. Ideaal voor de mensen die liever in hun eentje spelen. Wel liet Bungie meteen weten dat de game gebouwd is voor meerdere spelers en dat je in je eentje een minder toffe ervaring gaat hebben. De game doet er alles aan om om singleplayer en multiplayer naadloos in elkaar over te laten gaan.

If you never want to have a cooperative or competitive experience in Destiny, and if you want to experience every cinematic in private, you’ll have the option. We believe you’ll be having way less fun, and we think you may find it really difficult to resist the pull of our cooperative vortex, but when we say we’re building activities for every mood, that includes players who don’t want to party up.
